CMSS: Censuses and Surveys
This workng group is investigating several methods related to computation in surveys and censuses. The group is particularly interested in combining information from multiple sources.
One specific application is record linkage. How does one account for uncertainty in imperfect linkage? How effective is creating a joint distribution from available information compared to imperfect, multi-way record linkage? What should one do with survey weights in linked files?
Another specific application is merging big data with probability samples. Can we use information from surveys to help generalize analyses from large-scale administrative/private or organic data?
