Bio: Sparse Multiway Data Integration
Motivation for this group. Instances of data of different types available on the same patients/subjects include: - RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, Methylation Arrays, OTU abundances, Clinical variables, 0/1 data. - Longitudinal data of any of the above type. - Series of networks measured on the same `nodes' either over time or through different techniques. - Bayesian posterior distributions or Bootstrap sampling of matrix data with the same rows and columns. We would like to compare the different approaches already available for these types of data on a few common data sets. We will start with some working examples from the human microbiome. A first file will be available through google docs for people to fill in with information pertaining to the methods they suggest using on some of these multiway data. There is definitely overlap with several other groups, with which we will try and coordinate. There will be a second file Data file pointing to resources for those who want to analyze actual examples.
