Population genetics / phylogenetics discussion
I (Chris) will lead a discussion on the kinds of approaches that have been taken recently to merge phylogenetic and population genetic approaches. I will prepare only have a few slides and intend for this to really be a discussion. It is important that people that are remote be involved in the discussion, since it is easy to feel disconnected otherwise.

Protein Structure Discussion
Scott will lead a discussion on some of his work relating on statistical approaches to alignment and phylogeny with protein-structure aware models.

Viral Evolution Discussion
