Statistical Methods for Topological Data Analysis
The field of topological data analysis (TDA) has been around for less than 15 years.
It has already proven very useful in a wide variety of applications,
ranging from genomics to image analysis to orthodontia, but it is just now
beginning to develop a mature statistical theory. The goal of this working
group is two-fold: to continue developing this theory, and to brainstorm
interesting datasets for which statistical TDA could provide useful insight.
