General Information

As part of its Education and Outreach Program for 2004-2005, SAMSI will offer a two-day undergraduate workshop on topics of current interest in statistics and applied mathematics. In addition to an overview of current and planned SAMSI Research Programs, two featured topics will be covered in some depth:

• Mathematical Modeling in the Social Sciences
• Multiscale Modeling and Design

This workshop will be held on February 18-19, 2005 at SAMSI. The program will begin at 9:30 AM on Friday, February 18, and will be completed by 12 noon on Saturday, February 19. Participants are urged to arrive on Thursday evening and will be able to begin their return home by 12 noon on Saturday.

To apply to attend the Workshop, please fill out the ONLINE APPLICATION. Following submission, a confirmation of your application will be displayed. (Print a copy for your records.)

Applications will be considered beginning January 1, 2005 and continuing until all participant openings are filled. Registrations before January 18, 2005 will be given full consideration. Upon acceptance for the program, individuals must confirm by e-mail within seven days their intention to participate and also provide details of their travel plans (otherwise their registration will be canceled and their place given to another applicant).
