Hyungsuk Tak

I am a post-doctoral fellow at SAMSI, having received my Ph.D. in Statistics from Harvard University under the guidance of Professors Xiao-Li Meng, Carl N. Morris, and David A. van Dyk. I have explored computational work on Markov chain Monte Carlo methods, theoretical work on Bayesian-frequentist unification, and applied work in Astrophysics. Specifically, my research interests are:
– Markov chain Monte Carlo for multimodality
– Bayesian hierarchical modeling with frequency coverage evaluation
– Time delay estimation between gravitationally lensed light curves
– Outlier-robust inference on pulsar timing array for detecting gravitational waves
My webpage is here, my CV is available here, and my blog (in Korean) is here.
