CHALLENGES IN STOCHASTIC COMPUTATION
CLOSING WORKSHOP
June 26-28, 2003

The closing Workshop of the SAMSI program on Stochastic Computation (StoCom) will involve research presentations on the four main StoCom topic areas:

Stochastic computation in problems of model and variable selection

Stochastic computation in problems of inference and imputation in contingency tables analysis

Stochastic computation in analysis of large-scale graphical models

Stochastic computation in financial mathematics, especially in options pricing models

Talks will be presented by StoCom participants, covering synthesis and novel research developments in the program, and by workshop participants who have not been involved in the program but who work in the core areas and related topics.
