Directions to MCNC

The map (not to scale) shows the location of SAMSI—in the NISS building—relative to major roads in Research Triangle Park. Located at 19 T. W. Alexander Drive, NISS/SAMSI is most readily accessible from Durham by the Durham Freeway (NC 147) — Exit 7. 

From Chapel Hill & Durham: 

• Take NC 147 (Durham Freeway) South toward Raleigh

• Take Exit 7 -- TW Alexander Drive.

• From the ramp, turn right onto Alexander.

• Proceed straight through the traffic signal at GlaxoSmithKline.

• Turn left onto Cornwallis Road.  Get into the first left turn lane. 

• Turn left into MCNC.  The auditorium will be in the building to the left.

From Raleigh and RDU Airport:

• Take I-40 to the Durham Freeway (NC 147).

• Take Exit 7 -- TW Alexander Drive.

• From the ramp, turn left onto Alexander.

• Proceed straight through the traffic signals at NC-147 South and at GlaxoSmithKline.

• Turn left onto Cornwallis Road.  Get into the first left turn lane. 

• Turn left into MCNC.  The auditorium will be in the building to the left. 

From the Radisson:

• From the Radisson driveway, turn right onto Hwy 54.

• Proceed straight through the traffic signal at Park Offices Drive.

• Get into the right-hand lane.  The next signal will be at the intersection of Hwy 54 and TW Alexander Drive.

• Turn right onto TW Alexander Drive.  The next signal will be at the TW Alexander and Cornwallis Road intersection.

• Turn right onto Cornwallis Road and get into the left-hand lane.

• Get into the first left turn lane.

• Turn left into MCNC.  The auditorium will be in the building to the left.
