Theme of research

  • Distribution on covariance manifolds;
  • Inference/tracking of time-varying structures;
  • Statistical shape analysis.
  • Announcements :

    1. On December 14, Donald Richards will speak about his research.
      Title: Minimax estimation for the deconvolution problem over the space of positive definite matrices.
      Abstract: We consider the problem of statistical deconvolution on the space of positive definite matrices. This problem is motivated by diffusion tensor image analysis, and the error analyses which are necessary to solve the inverse problem of recontructing true brain images through diffusion tensor inaging.
    2. In January 2007, there will be a course on Geometry, Random matrices and Statistical Inference , as well as a workshop from January 16-19.
