Summary of meetings # 8 and 9 on April 20th and April 27th:
The group met and discussed the data assimilation algorithm based on SAR models
and its implementation. The group will write MatLab code for simulations.
A part of the code posted by Kayo Ide for her class will
be used.

Summary of meeting #1: The estimation and prediction group met on
February 9th, 3-4:30 pm. Basic issues in empirical verification of
operational numerical weather forecasts were discussed. It is
anticipated that the next meeting on February 10th will continue on
with this discussion.
