Working Group on Control
Design |
Group Leader: Art Krener
Meetings: Tuesdays from 10:00-12:00 @ SAMSI .
|
Description |
In this group, we are interested in quantifying how external inputs and feedback are affecting the uncertainty when developing and simplifying models. Control inputs and sensing may naturally take place on multiple levels. We are interested in determining if multilevel numerical techniques and homogenization theory can be used to integrate inputs and sensing. We are also interested in quantifying uncertainty at a lower level or fine scale and then tracking it to coarser scales. A crucial component of model-based control design entails real-time implementation. This will likely require model reduction (e.g., POD) at various points in the state estimation and control development.
